Our Process

Every site is unique and has its own DNA and character. Each client is unique and has their own personality. Finding the balance between these two and creating spaces that combine the two is a big part of our design approach.

We analyze all aspects of the land — topography, hydrology, vegetation and light conditions — and find the best sustainable use of the land.

After an open dialogue and conversations, we create a conceptual landscape design which shows important components including hardscape elements, pathing and circulation, planting design (showing plant massing and tree locations), drainage conditions and the overall character of the project.

After presenting and incorporating revisions, we create the final landscape design. This includes the planting plan, hardscape plans, details and all material callouts required for the proper installation of the landscape design.

“Working with Mike and his team at DIG was fantastic. The design and execution were beyond our expectations. All of our neighbors wanted his name.”
